f you are completely prepared for rabbits as pets and your children have grasped the basic principles of keeping a pet rabbit, there are some breeds, in my opinion, that make quite good rabbits for children.

Dutch Rabbit:
A fun, beautiful little rabbit for kids. They are calm, fairly easy going and small (about 5lbs fully grown). They have big eyes and a sweet demeanor. In the case of a smaller rabbit, getting a buck is highly preferred for the beginner, and especially for children.
